Here is an easy dairy free tuna recipe for the family. It is a simple yet delicious recipe that can be served to any family member (including kids). I know some kids (and adults alike) are not big fans of tuna so you could very easily add chicken in a can instead of tuna in a can.

When younger, I was not a huge fan of tuna but grew a liking to it once I started adding my own seasonings to it. I thought I would be against it for life – but here I am talking to you all about tuna melts.
So, before you close out of this and refuse to eat a tuna melt, try this recipe out. Take your own spin to it where you see fit too. My FAVORITE part of cooking is adding my own spices and simply being creative with what I am making.
Tip: air on the side of LESS seasoning then taste it and add what you find to be missing (it is a lot more difficult coming back from too much salt).
So, what are we making?
With breastfeeding my now 4-month-old, she has been consistently intolerant to dairy. That is why I made this tuna melt without dairy but still pleased my cheese love. I am super picky with the dairy-free cheese options, but I have to say, Daiya’s mozzarella and Mexican blend cheeze are my absolute favorite. But they are the absolute best with melts, not just sprinkled on any sandwich.
With that in mind, I made this super delicious and easy tuna melt. You can also mix up what you place as a side dish to accompany it. And, although this is my favorite lunch meal – you can have this for dinner (and even breakfast). Trust me. Make sure to write this recipe up for the upcoming week. Here is my free mom planner to help you!

KEY INGREDIENTS:
~ tuna, dairy-free cheeze
~ flour tortilla
~ mayo and lime (along with some spices)
THE STEPS:
- Gather your ingredients: pepper, onion, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, chives, cumin, salt, pepper, mayo, lime, tuna, measuring cups and a mixing bowl.

2. Mix all the ingredients together. I would do the dry first then the pepper, onion, mayo and lime last.

3. Place some tuna on your flour tortilla with some daiya mozzarella cheeze.

4. Place on the foreman grill. Once the grill light turns green, take out the melt and enjoy :). You can add whatever side you would like to it.

The beauty of this recipe is that you can add as little or as much seasoning as you would like. I love flavor and add some extra ingredients that are not necessary but boost the flavor. You can add cheese if you prefer it. You can also do this same thing with canned chicken salad. Make it your own :).
Please let me know if you tried this recipe. Anything you substituted? How was it?
I am excited to hear from ya’ll.
