I’m Nelly, your life balance and mindset coach.
I work full-time as the director for YDO a nonprofit afterschool youth organization and I am a life balance and mindset coach for working moms. I started the Working Mom Balanced in December of 2022 which includes the WMB podcast, blog, YouTube channel and Mama Inner Balance Lounge (membership). But most importantly, I am mother to two wildly beautiful little kids who are my literal world.
The mission of WMB is to support and empower working moms with kids to stop living in a constant state of survival but rather get intentional about LIVING presently. With the right mindset and self-care practices, you can finally go from continuous burn out to that of self-defined balance on your terms and in your season of life.
As working moms juggling work and kids it becomes easy to overcommit to events/activities, to get overwhelmed checking off long to do lists and burn out because you are not taking care of yourself.
I learned the hard way that you need to always start with the foundation and gain clarity around your vision, purpose, the best steps for YOU.
I am here to tell you that YOU CAN create balance!



HOW CAN I CREATE BALANCE?
Self-awareness: make the decision
This is the first step in your journey towards inner balance. You have to first become aware of the fact that you are unhappy and letting your limiting beliefs stop you from reaching a level of calmness you desire (despite kids and life). You then make the decision to do something about it.
Practice daily self-care
This is the meat of it all. It’s time to practice daily and consistent self-care. That is the secret – honestly. And yes, I know what you are thinking “when will I have time,” but I promise you it’s possible. This is not just the spa day self-care, but rather self-care of mind, body and soul.
Action time
After you’ve made the decision to change your overwhelming lifestyle and began practicing self-care consistently, you will begin to feel more energetic and positive. Your patience will increase as will your productivity. Now, it’s time to make career, home life, relationship etc. actions that align with your desired outcome.
